I don’t know if it’s because I need some vacations, but I love airports. When I was a kid, I remember that what a place crowded with busy and elegant people going who knows where… One of my best wishes at this time : pick a departure, any departure and fly away ! Here are some of my favorites :

Usually bridges have a specific function : helping people to pass from one bank to another… They are designed by very serious people, engineers who have studied those superstructures in order they will resist for years, even with the worst weather conditions or unforeseen safety problem… In this selection bridges are quiet different…

Monkey Bridge by Oliver Grossetete

« Pont de Singe » is an installation created by French artist Olivier Grossetete. Located in the Japanese Garden at Tatton Park in England for the Tatton Park Biennialt.

An other floating bridge is still a 3D project : the architecture studio AZC has created a bridge ephemeral trampoline under the 2012 edition of the contest of ideas ArchTriumph. Not very aesthetic but would be a lot of fun !

The « Moses bridge » designed by Dutch firm RO & AD is the only one which allow people to walk below water without getting wet…

I think this last one is my favorite. Deep in the rainforests of the Indian state of Meghalaya, bridges are not built, they’re grown…

2005-Brighton beach : the place where the story began for photographer Tom Robinson and his new girlfriend Verity. « Suddenly I thought the view of our feet pointing out to sea would make a nice photo, he explains in his blog.
